How do you feel about what YogaGlo is doing?

We believe filming a yoga class from any angle, shouldn't prompt legal action.

Some proposals...

1) Boycott YogaGlo

We urge all students and teachers to boycott YogaGlo.  There are many parallel services in the online yoga subscription portal battle,  many of which seem content to do business on merit.

2) Wilfully Disregard Patent

Teachers,  by all means, do video your yoga class with a single camera at the rear, clearing the way in front of the camera.    YogaGlo PR disinformation states that they are not intending to enforce it,  and believe it will be 'difficult' for another video to duplicate it's patented angle.   We will see.

We would be happy to host your rear single camera yoga class videos here.

3) Declare Them Hopelessly Un-Yogic

Even if they were to release the patent and apologize,  that might not be enough.    Could this move by YogaGlo have been so against the very principles of Yoga we should stick a fork in 'em?  Like John Friend and Anusara a few years back.

Patent trolling!   This is in many ways,  much less yogic than even a  straight up embezzlement or sex scandal.  This ain't kundalini..... this is greedy.

4)  Look Elsewhere / Discuss

Can we look beyond online streaming portals?  They are the future of yoga practice unless we talk about alternatives. Do we really want to resign the next phase of yoga to a online varietypack streaming superstore?  A Yoga Youtube- Pandora?  Sigh.  Are we really looking for a LOT of teachers,  or just 'the one'?     Is it  'when the student is ready, the teacher appears'?  Or 'when the student is ready,  the student should get a YogaGlo subscription at $18 / month to browse through the variety box of yoga classes ad infinitum.   Discuss...
